The virtual organisation named BBMRI.nl is a VO created to make grid resources available for the Biobanking and Biomolecular Resources Research Infrastructure project. BBMRI eu mission: To prepare for the construction of a pan-European Biobanking and Biomolecular Resources Research Infrastructure (BBMRI) for biomedical and biological research in Europe and worldwide, building on existing infrastructures, resources and technologies, specifically complemented with innovative components and properly embedded into European ethical, legal and societal frameworks. BBMRI-nl hub: BBMRI-NL co-ordinates the collaboration between Dutch biobanks. It is not a biobank itself, but facilitates collaboration by harmonisation and enrichment of existing biobanks.
