Description

Originally this VO was formed to perform the MC production for the "Belle" experiment. But after we decided to start the next B-factory "Belle II" at KEK, the purpose of the belle VO was shifted to perform the DST production, the worldwide-collaborated MC production and the data analysis for the "Belle II" experiment.

Acceptable Use Policy

Text This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all members of belle Virtual Organisation, hereafter referred to as the VO, with reference to use of the LCG/EGEE Grid infrastructure, hereafter referred to as the Grid. KEK owns and gives authority to this policy.



The original goal of the VO was to compute simulation for physics studies of the Belle collaboration. But after we decided to have the Belle II experiment, the goal was moved to process and analyze data of the Belle2 experiment hosted at KEK and compute simulation for physics studies in the worldwide collaboration.



Members and Managers of the VO agree to be bound by the Grid Acceptable Usage Rules, VO Security Policy and other relevant Grid Policies, and to use the Grid only in the furtherance of the stated goal of the VO.

Other requirements

We strongly offer to set kernel parameters as follows. kernel.msgmnb = 65536 kernel.msgmni = 128 kernel.msgmax = 32768 The following CVMFS need to be mounted on WNs: /cvmfs/belle.cern.ch /cvmfs/belle.kek.jp /cvmfs/grid.cern.ch In addition to set this, all WNs should mount single point on its vo software directory, referred by VO_BELLE_SW_DIR env vars, e.g. /opt/exp_soft/belle. If CVMFS is used VO_BELLE_SW_DIR should point to the directory /cvmfs/belle.cern.ch/sl7 on CentOS7 WNs.
