Description

The FOCAL Project (EFficient exploratiOn of Climate dAta Locally) develops user-friendly tools to help local stakeholders, like urban planners and foresters, assess and respond to climate change impacts. Using artificial intelligence, earth observation data, and high-performance computing, FOCAL delivers faster, more reliable climate insights tailored to regional needs. Pilot studies in urban planning and forestry showcase its practical applications, with potential for broader use. By bridging cutting-edge research and real-world challenges, FOCAL empowers communities to create effective climate strategies and fosters collaboration for sustainable development.
