Description
SN2NS (SuperNova to Neutron Stars) is dedicated to the modeling of stellar core-collapse, the birth of neutron stars and black holes.
The SN2NS project gathers the expertises of three groups in IRFU (Saclay), IPN (Orsay) and LUTh (Meudon), in order to develop a numerical tool to simulate and understand the core-collapse taking place at the end of the life of massive stars exceeding 9 solar masses. The first second of the collapse determines both the onset of supernova explosions, and the birth conditions of neutron stars and black holes.

Goal and description of the vo.sn2ns.in2p3.fr VO
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The SN2NS project gathers the expertises of three groups in IRFU (Saclay), IPN (Orsay) and LUTh (Meudon), in order to develop a numerical tool to simulate and understand the core-collapse taking place at the end of the life of massive stars
exceeding 9 solar masses. The first second of the collapse determines both the onset of supernova explosions, and the birth conditions of neutron stars and black holes.
Members and Managers of the VO agree to be bound by the Grid Acceptable Usage Rules, VO Security Policy and other relevant Grid Policies, and to use the Grid only in the furtherance of the stated goal of the VO.
